Fun fact: Here in Taiwan, braised pork rice (so called you-fan, or glutinous oil rice), is a dish you normally would get from a friend/ family when their newborn boy had just turned a month old, and on the other hand, if it were a girl, you would get a cake instead. Taste wise, it's pretty similar to a zongzi, or 粽子, but chewier. It's not very often that you see a vendor that sells you-fan(油飯)and sesame oil chicken soup here in Taipei, since they are both hard to make and not very cost effective for small business like this. So there you go, if you guys have time, or just passing by, please check this place out, their owner is super sweet and a hard working man (plus who can say no to good food right) ☺️
Fyi: you get free refills on your soup, how great is that?!! ———————————————————
